“I felt pretty embarrassed”

My office is at the bottom of West Street. I was on my back to work from my lunch break and ended up behind a big group of lads walking pretty slowly. One of them turned around, looked at me and then told his friends to ‘make way’ for me – he parted the group and motioned for me to walk through. Unfortunately he then said it was so that they could all ‘get a nice look’. By that point I was already speeding up so did walk through as they smirked at me. I felt pretty embarrassed, especially as they were all about 10 years younger than me.

“Let us have a grab”

This happens virtually any time in the summer so today was no different to usual!! Me and my friends went to the beach to enjoy the sun and had to listen to men shouting about our “great tits” and to “let us have a grab”. This one guy was saying leery things to almost every girl he saw including some who cant have been older than 13. We’re told to take it as a compliment but how is this in any way a nice thing to hear? It makes us want to cover up. I love Brighton but it really attracts a sleazy crowd.
